Additional E170s for Compass

Did Compass just gain the last 12 large regional aircraft for Delta as of today? Looking on some other sites it would appear this might be the case but I know we have only a select few Compass guys. Also what's the deal with Compass these days? I know they still have the flow thru but is the flow back still happening and are there any talks about making one contract for Trans States Inc.? Also 12 additional airplanes, so at least another 120 pilots?

Talked to a Trans States crew on an overnight a while back. According to them, there are zero plans to put Compass, TSA and GoJets together. Trans States Holdings is perfectly happy to run them separately and whipsaw them off each other. As for the flow, I was under the impression anyone hired after July 1st, 2011 at Compass would NOT be eligible for the flow. Everyone else there IS. There are restrictions on it, but I don't know what the exact numbers are. Tied into percentages of total pilots or pilots per class/month or something like that.

Between Compass and Republic getting 170s for Delta, there can't be much room left in the scope.

The official cutoff date was Aug 19, 2010. The restrictions on the flow are 20/month and 25%/rolling year.. This is all on APC's stats page. This does completely fill DAL's scope given their current mainline fleet - however if they grow mainline then DCI can grow as well. Doug can probably comment on that.

Oh Meyers, don't get any ideas; they have a personality test. :laff:

PHUZ your BS apc comments are not appropriate for this forum period. Move on dude and start acting like a professional sir. I met the pdt first officer Rep from Cho the other day. You'd benefit greatly from taking lessons from him on that. You negativity is apparent. Take your other issues else where because I'm not here for your childish rhetoric.

Anyways I meant I know they DONT have flow but was wondering about flowback as it appears upward to dal has slowed if not stopped.....

Is that a joke?

For him yes. His negativity is blatant. I'm sick of it. Take it elsewhere. He can continue with his childish antics but I'm sick of it. Quit if its that bad. Instead he's become a stalker. I thought we conducted ourselves different here from the other forums? Am I wrong?

Guess I haven't witnessed the stalking.

Check out the other forum. Nearly every thread it happens. Regardless I guess I rather look at the positive side of things. Others rather continue to be bitter and take the glass half empty phuz approach.

LoL dude i'm not stalking you.. You just happen to post on every forum a minimum of eleven times per day. Unfortunately for the rest of us 8/11 of those posts are fluff and nonsense. To avoid your threads would be to avoid these forums altogether.

Did they say anything about a delivery date for the new aircraft or pilot hiring planes for the aircraft?

Supposedly one plane per month, beginning in May '11 and wrapping up in early 2012. I believe they're still actively interviewing/hiring.

Yeah.... Check out my post.... I have become more of a seldom poster due to ignorant people like yourself...... :) But yet you continue to see to follow my seldom postings with a response.... Sickness maybe? Get a life man.....

Back to the topic though, I guess it sounds like one plane a month starting this summer. But with that has any of the flow ups even gone to Mainline? So with oil the way it is right now, the flow back thing seems to be a heated topic as somone can go to Compass, has no right to Mainline but yet can get bumped off to the street by a Mainline pilot? Seems slightly odd and a risky venture to jump at the present time.....

60 flowed in the October-January time period.

Going to Compass is as risky as it ever has been. No telling what will happen.

I know someone who started class there on the record oil day back in July 2008 ($147 a barrel). Nobody in his class thought they would even get 100 hours in the plane before the Northwest flowbacks started coming in...then oil started coming down and a merge happened, and his class ended up with a two year upgrade during one of the worst recessions in generations.

It's a roll of the dice. But I guess the good thing would be, if flowback happened there, it wouldn't all happen at once -- only 20ish would get furloughed per month so you could have a decent amount of time to see it coming I would think.

Wow. Thats a better upgrade time than Colgan during the same time period.

My class had the same thing. Hired June of 2008. Sat in during a conference call that said there would be furloughs. We all assumed maybe 2 months on the line. The next thing you know, they hold more classes.

Still an FO, although #1 in base now with junior guys upgrading.

That's what taking aircraft deliveries will do for ya. Nevermind the fact that the E170 is more fuel efficient than the DC-9. Makes sense that during record oil prices NWA would be trying to replace DC-9 routes with the E170. My hope is now that MAINLINE will get those fuel efficient planes from now on instead of the regionals.

There's a real easy to assure that, and it doesn't involve hoping for anything.

Yeah, but the D95 is paid for...
