Here's how the conversation went last night (10 and clear...we were still under our IFR plan out of STL):

KC: XXX, advise when you're ready for the NOTAMs
Us: XXX cancel IFR and we'll keep the flight following.
KC: Boy you guys really don't want to hear those NOTAMs do you?
Us: NOPE!

Little do they know, when we're off the mic, all we do is cut down how bad they are for VFR traffic and how no one has any idea what they're doing up there....

That's really professional. And the way this website/industry is...I bet now someone at KC center knows.

Ah, someone who has never taken a real tour of an ATC facility or has never met a controller in real life... Its eye opening. We're just as bad man. And in the off chance that sector knows, he's already implied they know they're a pain. Just like I know I'm a pain with some of my required stuff. At least the airline in question and their pilots don't cluck on guard...

I've never been asked for a PIREP to date and I've been asked if I wanted NOTAMs once, and I already had them. Strange.

Heh, I have a few buddies who are controllers, the tower can get somewhat ruckus at times.
