Supraventricular Ectopy

Hello Dr. Forred,

What affect will a finding of supraventricular ectopy have when applying for a first class medical? This was found on a 24 hour Holtor monitor with the results as follows: "Singles: 242, Couplets: 0, Runs: 0, Total: 0."

I am a 41 year old male. The Holtor was requested after a 2nd annual stress echocardiogram and in anticipation of applying for the FAA medical. Both stress echos were normal.

Thank you.

Jay

I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. But I do have some expierence with Holter monitoring, comparatively I would say your results are very similiar to mine (I suspect you will be fine)

If there is one thing I've learned, if Dr. Forred doesn't think it's a big deal, it's not a big deal.

Seriously, another thing I've learned, is that you need a AME who is business "fulltime". One little hiccup sends most "part-timers" into auto defer mode (because they are afraid of or don't understand the system) Not a good deal when you make your living flying.

I'm lucky, I'm in PHX
