Has UND gotten any worse?

I think I know your real name! :D

In three years of instructing, I've never felt pushed to slack standards for flight time nor have I ever gotten in hot water for a student taking longer than allotted to finish. I have certainly had my fair share of students going over time, but I don't know where guys are coming from when they make statements like that. I just tried to figure out if I was going to go over as early in training as I could and brought it to the attention of the proper people as early as possible in training. It has never been a problem. The only thing I was ever told was "get it done as efficiently as possible." Which doesn't tell me to cut standards. :dunno:

Yeah, all depends on your lead. Mine micromanages and I usually get yelled at first, and never really praised. Makes working here arduous some days.

You guys are so cool. Typical airline pilots.

On a side note, I am watching the Sioux play Robert Morris right now. I think one thing that might have gotten more painful is watching Pat Sweeney do an intermission interview. Is it me or are they the most awkward interviews in history?

Does WDAZ still screw up when reading the teleprompter during the news every day?

hahaha classic!!!

N261ND, I'm pretty sure I soloed in that tail number back a PHJR, did you fly it out there as well?

I enjoyed my time at UND, but I liked part 61 flying better. I was up there a few weeks ago, morale seemed to be ok, certainly is different though, sometimes I feel like Flight Ops was a mirror image of Downtown Tokyo though . . .

Haha, yeah, it basically is. But you have to look at the bright side of having all these contract students. Air China's contracts are what allowed us to purchase the new C172s :D And if I rumors are true, I believe the last contract has just been paid? Don't know if Air China is sending any more classes. I believe we are still getting students from the universities over in "the far east".

Just enjoy the time your up there, as cold as it is, college is still college the real world is over-rated. I'm glad I left when I did (2007) but I have many fond memories involving large quantities of alcohol, the many good friends I still keep in touch with, and the country girls from places like Minot, Red Lake Falls, an Roseau.
