Colgan guys that didnt get paid this morning

Do your job and consider this a dry run for when things get heated in the end days of negotiations.

Hopefully, this TA will get passed, and those days will have been back in December already. :)

I see your point about the strike fund, and I agree with it, though.

Not to single you out but is it normal for you regional guys to have to pay for ... uhhh going to work?

Depends on the contract and if you commute. If you're living with mom and dad because you can't afford to live close to EWR, well, I doubt Colgan will pay for parking at the airport you commute from.

And my account is now overdrawn... Colgan better pay for my overdraft fees because of their screw up.

don't think that's gonna happen.... But IF it were to, it would be if u still weren't paid tmrw. If they pay you today, they will just say they paid you on the date it was due...

I tell ya guy's, this really blows. This happened once at PDT about a year and a half ago, and if I remember correcly there were a few cancelled flights because of it. Management was quick to reslove the problem then, as I hope they will in this case now. If not, well, I really hope you folks stand up and refuse to fly.

Again, I don't know what states all of you are in; but for those based in New Jersey, this is illegal and YES, the company has to pay overdraft fees and write apology letters. PM me if you need help.

And, NO they can't retaliate against you for reporting them.

I certainly hope SOMEONE at Colgan - hopefully the MEC - is at least listening to this.

Where are the teeth guys? It's time to bite, and bite hard.

Ugh, don't get me started. When it happened to us in June, the MEC said they'd look into it. We were on strike! We didn't have time to waste while spouses saw that the paycheck of June 15 (with all the overtime, etc from May) didn't arrive and then start pressuring their pilots to cross the line. I knew that. The MEC wanted to go through their process. They didn't focus on the power of the pressure from the homefront to break a strike. The company knew that; the high priced lawyers knew that. They just didn't know it was illegal in New Jersey! I did, though.

Again, all it took was the completion of the online form with the email from the CEO attached to get immediate action.

At pinnacle, they will pay for your parking at your domicile. but they wont pay for your parking at the airport you commute from.

Colgan used to pay for parking at either where you commute from OR where you are based and the amount the pay for your commute parking has to be within a certain dollar amount. I do not think the policy has changed

"Ladies and Gentlemen; Good morning and welcome aboard Colgan 3091, service to Albany. In case you're wondering why we were delayed this morning, Colgan decided not to pay any of the pilots. Now that we are back living paycheck to paycheck, we should be pushing shortly. Once again, welcome aboard and thank you for your patience"

1 am and still no money in my account. For the IAD crews, fill out this form online http://www.doli.virginia.gov/laborlaw/pdfs/lla3_form.pdf

From the Virginia Dept. Of Labor:

Employers must establish regular paydays and rates of pay for each employee, and it is a violation of law not to pay all wages due on the established payday. Hourly employees must be paid at least once every two weeks or twice a month; and salaried employees must be paid at least once each month. These requirements do not apply to executive personnel. Virginia Code § 40.1-29(A)(1).

At the time it was only your domicile. I lived in Hartford, so I had to pay to park at BDL. It wouldn't really make sense for my wife who made 3 times as much as I did to move to ROC w/o a job....:) $25 for parking isn't really the fee that kills the strike fund though, loans, rent and food put many FO's right at the edge of credit card debt. Getting a second job is a great option, but it generally isn't practical for someone with a crazy schedule that changes on a month by month basis. It would seem that your best bet as an FO would be to have a rich spouse or live with your parents. And I don't say that in a tongue and cheek manner, it's just the reality of the career.
