Diamond DA42 L360 vice AE300

Got about 40 hrs in the DA42. Having flown it and then went to a conventional twin, I wished I didn't fly it. Although I did enjoy flying it as flying goes. If I was a quick track guy to an RJ, it would be the ideal setup. Glass screen (G1000), FADEC, two power levers, etc. But I went freight and so the plane was counter productive. That was going into Chieftains and such.

Understand. Thanks for that insight.

Thielert issues aside, some days it seemed you could never get all the water out of the fuel tanks in the JetA variants. I'd think it was gone, re-check the next time we stopped and there would be more. Condensation in the tanks since they heat up in flight and JetA and Water's density being close enough to not let the water settle out quickly I guess were to blame. Sometimes it was almost as if there was frozen water from previous condensation that would melt mid-flight.

Also, get some JetA on you and you stink for a while. Also makes the tarmac where you park it/check the fuel basically perma-stained.
