102 and 221 over the summer

Does Canada not have the same private pilot privileges and limitations as we do? Somehow I thought that until you got your commercial certificate and an appropriate job you had to pay for your flight time...

It does differ slightly...

Transport Canada outlines that a Private pilot may not fly revenue. I don't recall there being anything regarding having to 'pay' for the flight time...

As far as the Ferrying... yeah... our maintenance facility was based at another airport along w/ our MedEvac hanger... which was where i got that PA31 time from. Here's the story... I worked as a dispatcher for the SOF as I was learning to fly... and started flying planes between our bases after finishing my solo circuit times... We contacted the TC office based on field and as far as they could see, it was legal.

Gotcha, that's cool...I doubt any FSDO here would be cool with that. I flew with a Canadian CFI on a DA-20 demo flight and had a nice chat with him about differences in certification requirements, but not on certificate privileges.

Hahaha... oh yeah...

Nothing like having to do a Night rating :laff:

....what a hit in 2nd wow.

I'm at 18 right now, about to step up to 21.50, and I can pay the bills just fine.

That's quite a pay raise! Congrats!

...Or you guys could instruct in Canada... I think minimum pay is like 10.75 atm, and fresh instructors (Class 4) starts off at 24 an hour, then 28 once you're an Class 3, and iirc, 32 an hour for Class 2.
