Fighters flying in icing conditions

I'm sure that performance and weapons should be the main factors, but you still need to consider the "other enemy" that is the weather.

Having the air force grounded due to bad weather has nearly resulted in military disaster on several occasions, (Battle of the Bulge, the retreat from the Chosin Resivior, ect.)

Anti-ice or de-ice isn't going to make much difference in those situations regardless. Bad weather is bad weather and is the risk of losing aircraft enough to send em? Will the aircraft and its weapons be effective enough given the conditions as well?

How about the A-6? Seems like it would be better equipped since it was billed as an "all-weather" attack plane.

F-111/A-6. The all-weather moniker referenced being able to employ ordnance in a precision manner in night/IMC; not necessarily ALL types of WX it would encounter such as icing.

I'd have to ask my Prowler friends (same airframe essentially), but I'm pretty sure they do not have wing anti ice either.
