Republic CEO To Appear On 'Undercover Boss'

I don't know about Republic Execs but Horizon Execs can ride in the jumpseat up front. I say make him sit on the perch for a 4 day trip.

To all employees:

As you may know, I have been working closely with a production crew of a TV for their reality based TV show called "Undercover Boss". First let me say it's been such a humbling experience to watch all you little people at work, toiling away.

I am sad to report, Philistines are in our midst. As the joo's said in the years after their flight from the Egyptians, "so he shall say shibboleth, and he said sibbolet because his mouth could not frame the words," I shall find the pretenders among us.

Obviously it's easy to point out people with different religious views than my own. I'm not just talking about the rosary beads that I come across from time to time at my second mansion (of course I have them fired). What I speak of is the root of all evil, commies. The profit (yes I spell it like that) Reagan said long ago, "unions are a blight that must be purged like sin from the soul." Even if he didn't say that, he meant to.

Economics and religion go hand in hand, at least that's what I teach at the church and historical sight of Brian Bedford. Every dollar I rob or swindle out of my employees I will give a tithing of that to the investors, and the rest will goto my church. Remember, it's for your own good, money is the root of all evil so I'm freeing you from sin, like Jesus. I don't know why I'm telling you this, except to say onto all that I'm seriously loaded and starting your own church is a great tax shelter.

I'd like to see all of you on Sunday, however I know you'll be working, please fill out my enclosed form to direct deposit your money into my church and I will invest it in the Lords work.

So keep your attention at work, or I'll have you fired for the entertainment of millions at home who hate you because they think you make a ton of money working for an airline and fly everywhere free.

Yours,
B. Bedford.

:yup::yup::yup: I think I want to frame this...

Not defending the man, nor the bunch of crooked CEO's out there...but if almost anyone can do a better job of running a company then why don't they go for it?
They do. And they don't get hired as CEO because they don't have the connections. This isn't a "if it's so easy, why don't you do it?" situation.

It's not like critiquing a quarterback for a bad throw. Of course we couldn't do a better throw, and there should be some respect for that.

This is like a politician who chooses to do the wrong thing. The actions aren't unskilled, they're what some consider harmful.

I don't buy that. Of all the bitching I have ever heard I have only known one person who was determined to get a certain job and do better; And he did. You don't have to be hired as CEO to make a difference, there are many lower jobs that can have an impact. If you don't have the connections then go get them. It is the same with politicians, work your way up and change it. No one wants to put the effort in though.

is it really republic ceo? I saw the preview for this week and it suppose to be frontier's ceo for frontier airlines

They are one in the same sir.

Most 121 CEO's can occupy the jumpseat on their respective carrier. But I would think "going under cover" on the jumpseat would not only violate policy but set a bad precedent. I know that's not what you were getting at but I figured I'd add it.

Yes... even though practically anyone with a 10-year background check and authorization can ride the jumpseat (I am pretty sure that XJT flight ops interns get/got jumpseat privileges), the whole premise of the show, "fake name/new look" would not be something that would be welcome security-wise...

I liked the episode, I think it was nice of them to give the 10% back. I found the F/A job to be funny as well :laff:

I don't know. It's a little over half way through here, and he's saying it's "thought provoking how on the edge some people are living." I don't buy that one bit. He knows how little his ramp, CSR, FAs, pilots, etc are making. It seems to me it's quite animated and he's just feeding lines to the viewing public.

Lastly, it won't be a part of the fabric that he is as a CEO. The day will come when HIS airline needs to save money, and he'll take 10% plus...

Call me a cynic.
