Wow the comments on that article are absolutely hilarious. I love how the sandiegosteve guy post that outrageously dumb comment, then the other person just completely destroys him for making such a dumb comment.

I really think I could spend 1 month collaborating comments off of news websites into one big comedy journal, then get them published and it would be a best seller.

But...the real question is did they grab beer on the way out?

I'm skeptical of the parking brake indication on the FDR.

Obviously, something prevented the wheels from turning, but the parking brake isn't a required parameter so its recording isn't required to be subjected to any kind of periodic functional check. And, well, if the parking brake is really being set as often as I've seen weird indications, Airbii would be the undisputed 'Taxiway A' winner on a daily basis.

And, I've heard of some kind of "Residual Brake Pressure" that results from a system test when the gear is extended (although probably not enough to lock the wheels).

I wonder if it was an antiskid failure. I've seen that once, where the anti-skid malfunctioned and lock a wheel on landing.
