Piedmont Recalls

Scooter Trash!!!
Possible recalls are slated for the end of September to cover an increase in LGA flying. An unofficial number is about 7 recalls total.
Always welcome news!

You know, I couldn't even tell ya how many furlough's we still have. I'd guess 30-40? Maybe another PDT dude or dudette on here can be more specific.
We've had a couple firing's (CQ failures) and quite a few people leave to pursue other endeavor's. Hopefully the recalls will be able to stick around for a while and not be sent home for the winter reduction.

APC says 43 furloughs. Is that website pretty accurate about that kind of stuff? Anyways...hopefully they can all get back on line soon.

Firings for CQ failures? I haven't heard of any recent firings. They're still pulling those stunts?

Congrats to all!!!

Let's not try to scare people with this bs of, "well you'll just be furloughed this winter." That stuff needs to stop with all the negativity. I guarantee they are calling back based on a need. If there was not a projected need for the rest of fall, winter (when people time out), and the spring flying (which Airways is bringing back sooner then normal) I doubt thered be more recalls...

Sorry to rant but that bs drove me crazy when I got recalled well over a year and a half ago.. And is happening again with buddies finishing up sim all worried about it!!!

Again congrats to those PDT pilots coming back!

They use the double update method. So, if 2 people send the same update, they put it in. I've found countless errors on that website.

Cheers to that.

Last I checked, none of us should have the "this is only a seasonal" job mentality.

Hey Jason!
Well, one of the layoffs was actually a failed 2nd upgrade attempt, and to be frank, a lot of captains were just flat out refusing to fly with this peticular person.
The other was actually a fairly senior captain who was downgraded about two years ago and hasn't passed a CQ since.
Those are the only people that I know of that have been let go. There has been more people just leaving for bigger and better things.

Cheers to that.

Agreed big time. A few companies out there do well with that kind of operation, but most companies can't get away with it without spending some extra money to do it. Chances are, if management is dropping hints, they are being facetious (secretly hoping the right people opt for short term COLA and the rest of the pilot group is so scared they might give something up).
