Skywest + Comair Acquisition or Merger

You would be if you worked at a SUPER regional.

...worse that is.

The only thing that truly matters is how many commas and integers I have on the check when the FAA drags my lifeless 65 year old corpse out of the cockpit! ;)

Lord Voldemort?

You.... SHALL NOT PASS!

No offense, but this rumor sounded pretty credible, certain people have real concerns, and there hasn't been one serious post in this thread. I don't get it; color me stupid I guess. :banghead:

It's the airline business.

There's not much to really understand but a lot to prepare for or react to.

It's like the airline business has always been a flotilla of potential Titanics. There's no more safety in being the biggest boat in the fleet and no less safety by being the smallest either, all that changes are the number of people clamoring for life rafts!

Trust me, I've been down that road of uncertainty a few times, whether it be corporate bankruptcy or hostile takeovers, it's not a lot of fun at all. As long as you "emotionally divorce" yourself from the situation, you'll be alright with whatever happens.

Best of luck to us all.

The fact is, whatever happens, happens. I have no control over what management does or what will happen to this company. I go to work, do my job and try not to think about it. I understand it is hard, especially right now with all sorts of rumors and speculations floating around the cockpits, crew rooms, training center and just getting back from a long furlough. No, I don't want to get furloughed again or see this company fold like some people are hoping for, but again, we have no control over management or what the future will hold for Comair. The only thing I can do as a pilot is hope for the best, and plan for the worst.

Well, at least there are meetings for employees scheduled for September (mid-September). Hopefully that will help clarify things a bit.

Comair soon to become history?

alot of talk has been going around from Comair guys that things are going to get better. This will not happen. Sorry guys, if you work at Comair, you need to start looking for another job. The truth is Comair will be gone by the end of this year. Skywest might purchase the aircraft without pilots. Either way Comair will be no more.

What's with the trolls registering just to preach doom and gloom at comair?
