Callsigns (Sasquatch, Starfish, and Teddybear)

I know Teddybear is a medical helicopter company in Dallas.

Who is Sasquatch? I know they fly PC12s around the AR MO area...

Who is Starfish? I think I heard them check on at FL220. I could be wrong about this, but are they also a "heavy"?

Just curious...

SASQUATCH -- Alaska Juneau Aeronautics (Juneau, AK) ... definitely not AR & MO
STARFISH -- North American Jet Charter Group, LLC ... probably no heavies there.

I didn't find an entry for TEDDYBEAR. It might be a local agreement thing (as might SASQUATCH & STARFISH, but there's the potential for name collisions). So maybe all this is just coming from my stovepipe. :)

Sasquatch does fly PC-12s out in Oregon. I know someone who flies for them. I forget the name of the company though. They go well east of there, however, as you can hear them in the midwest too.

Jetport airlines. They have PC-12 all over, in addition to owning Wings of Alaska. Wings uses the "Sasquatch" when they fly IFR, otherwise it's simply "wings".

Seaport Arlines actually. In the lower 48 "we" have a fleet of PC-12s flying in the Pac North West, Kansas, and have a hub in Memphis. The only time Sasquatch is used in Alaska is when 32 has to depart or arrive IFR. Otherwise as said, we go by Wings.

They say sasquatch continuously as their call sign operating out of MEM and AR and MO. And yes, it's seaport airlines.

I've seen them in and out of Harrison Arkansas. Wonder what kind of loads they're getting on these EAS routes?

I know a dude who flies for TeddyBear. I think they have King Airs, a Citation or 2, and helos.

As previously mentioned, Sasquatch is SeaPort Airlines. The reason it shows up as Alaska Juneau Aeronautics is because SeaPort uses the Wings of Alaska 135 cert-that is why when SeaPort was starting up they bought WoA. One of those weird deals...

I heard Starfish the first time a few days ago. I was so tempted to ask an unprofessional question on approach control when they asked what color the plane was.

Yes, they fly mostly EAS routes and are trying hard to get more.

Just for kicks I went on their website and looked at some fares. Say I wanted to go from MCI to MEM on 8/10. Seaport 1 stop on a PC-12 was $210 one way. Delta was $467 nonstop. I think I'll pay half to ride on a PC-12 that takes a littler longer to get there. Be a heck of a lot more comfortable.

Yep, Starfish is North American Jet. They most definitely do not have 'heavy' associated with them, they have a King Air and a bunch of Eclipse VLJs last I heard.
