Pinnacle Airlines Corp Conference Call - 8/3/10

Our training and safety department is second to none. But that comes at a cost and I heard that our training and safety department is costly. It's really unfortunate that good training and a good safety program comes with a price tag. I really hope we take our training and safety department with this merger, but I'm not holding my breath.

We won't. This is Pinnacle and Colgan now, $afety first.

Hopefully, Mesaba's CEO will find a place in the Pinnacle Board room. Sounds like the company has it's act together. Unfortunately, they were cost out of business by the superior metrics of their competitor's ability to generate consistently higher revenue yields over the previous quarter, while simultaneously reducing their overall debt to equity ratio. Thereby enhancing the company's balance sheet and leverage of their overall cost structure...

Mesaba's, Spanjers, is a COO.

I don't know if we've "cost" ourselves out of business, it may be true I haven't seen any math on it, but it's apparent to me that Delta does not want wholly owned. I don't sit in any board room, but "buying" a shrinking company with no money down and no payments for the first six months, in addition having to oversee the parking of the Saabs and the eventual termination of the fleet (which will continue to make a profit until the last prop spins) isn't any sort of wise financial move. In fact it appears, to an outsider, like an ass kiss move by Pinnacle so that Delta will consider them a partner. If that hypothesis is correct, Pinnacle is gonna find out what rough prison love is all about in at Delta Connections.

What happened to the hangar?

Lightning strike + crappy fire supressant system = foam everywhere. Happened I think twice in a span of 3 weeks. The first time they were able to stop the foam before it got too crazy. Guess one of our 900s was in there but didn't get damaged. Then 2 weeks later happened again and this time they couldn't stop the foam and it went all the way up to the ceiling. Had 3 of our 900s in there the second time and apparently one of the them is pretty messed up. Foam got into the avionics bay and the cockpit.

that foam is designed to penetrate deep to put out all hot spots. If it got to the flight deck..... thats gonna be expensive!

i can tell you from an FAA point of view, they are looking forward to the merger of CJC with Mesaba MX and Tng.
