Doesn't the XJT contract require SLI in the event of an acquisition?
I don't like the idea of Mega-Regionals because my big plan is to actually fly international for a MAJOR airline. If regionals continue to merge like this my dreams will fade and I will blame it all on you Trip 7!
and less whipsaw between regional companies.
ASA isn't going anywhere for a while.....they just dropped all that cash on a name change!![]()
Also I haven't heard ANYBODY mention this at Skywest....is this just another fantasy trip7?
ASA? Who is that? You mean Atlantic Southeast??? :rotfl:
I would welcome a fair and equitable merger of these 3 companies under one seniority list and ONE NICE NEW CONTRACT![]()
All jokes aside.. Why would you want a 7000 pilot seniority list at a regional?
Any clue how Expressjet did last quarter? have they announced it yet?
I tend to agree that fewer regionals would potentially increase regional pilot's QOL. I'm sure major airlines love 12 regionals each scrambling to come up with the lowest cost contract, but in the end everyone suffers, regional crews, passengers and even the major airline through less reliable operations.
Believe me I want everyone to do well, but the current landscape/battlefield is getting tiresome and I wouldn't mind seeing a giant seniority list offering a wide variety of flying/aircraft/bases along with less pressure from above to align my costs with other carriers.
Trip7 I'm def interested and have been hearing rumblings on our end as well. Details...I need details!!
