Emergency Landing in 20 mins

Prepare for pointless, underwhelming coverage of a non-event.

Apparently, a Delta 737 blew a tire, burning fuel off to landing in ATL.

"It's the reason why there's more than one tire on the airplane!"

Thank you, CNN.... Augh.

the coverage is getting so ridiculous that after they threw out the Sioux city Iowa crash scenario I about threw the remote at the tv. That and saying that there are 4 tires per side on a 737 over and over...just use google people!

You know, that USAirway E-190's a pretty big airplane, sheesh!

These events remind me how much those reporters know about politics, health care, the wars, or any other subject they are covering.

This joke almost writes itself:

(you know, like the Beatle?)

ha it appears it landed and they didn't even get a coverage shot of it?! nice! Glad to know the media can get the story straight ha.

I snapped a few pictures as we passed it. I will have to wait til later to put them up because the wireless in the Wendy's at the San Juan airport sucks . I remember the crew saying we were #6 and by the time we went it was gone. My mom freaked. I had 10 messages from people when I landed asking if I was ok.

Drink the entire bottle every time they consult someone who has half a clue and fail to cut them off and you'll go to bed sober.

I'm not planning to have that problem.

Had a guy with an instrument rating on our flight this morning. Apparently if he was flying he'd have been able to get us there on time. But since we were flying, we were delayed an hour an a half due to flow control for low clouds.

I don't even know what this has to do with the original topic, sorry. Made sense in my head before typing it all out.

Doug I noticed the exact same thing on the news. They really sounded dumb on this one. At one time I heard them start saying a 737 has 8 wheels on the mains instead of 4. They also dropped the "airplanes have more than 3 wheels just because of this.

Good game media.

My favorite quote was, "Before the airplane lands, it is literally lighter than air." Ha!
