To old to start?

I just finished one page....and it will be in the perspectives section of the website.
I started a blog this season...you can find it in the blog here on jc.

Wow, :clap: I didnt know you started at 42. Nice work man. Im 37 and kind of gave up on an aviation and making it any sort of career due to expense and the mag incident. However, you just might have inspired me to get back into it. I cant wait to read your perspective article.
 
my oldest student was 92. maybe a little late to start a career at that age, but, never too late to start flying.

I have seen Malaysia Airlines (MAS) hired 39 years old into their right hand seat. Singapore International Airlines (SIA) took in as late as age 42 for their second officer.

Even if he wants to fly for hire, he can't now! If he wants, he has to be an instructor.

It is too late for his age to start an aviation career. As you said, at his age is bever been late for flying.
 
I took my first lesson at age 28. I worked my way up slowly as I had another business at the time. Then I was offered a job running a flight school and took it. I had a student going for his CFI II who was flying for a commuter airline and he walked my resume in. I got hired into my first 121 gig just shy of 38 years old.

Wrong, you can fly for hire at anything (except 121 airlines) after 65. A lot of retired airline pilots keep flying at charter places as long as they can hold a medical.
