I wonder if during this guys activities he ever suspected he would actually be caught and what was really on the line?
I can just imagine that he is really wondering to himself about now: "What the hell was I thinking?"
Or, maybe he is just sick enough not to care. I am guessing his time in prison will be unpleasant at best, as it should be.

I hope he realizes some day that what he did was unexcusable. It's a shame though because it doesn't shed a good light on pilots.

Agreed, I think the fact that this guy was a pilot doesn't change the fact that he is a sick human being.

One of our sheetmetal guys in my unit in the service got busted for this. Coming through customs in Kuwait. Not only a slimeball- but also retarded.
We never saw him again. He never made it back to the unit, and that was the last anybody ever heard of him. Good riddance.
Special place in hell for these types.

One of the pilot training students when I was at Columbus wound up on To Catch a Predator. He was like 21, 22 and he was heading up towards Memphis to meet what he thought was a 14 y.o. girl with condoms... and a half a gallon of ice cream. I don't know how exactly he thought he would bridge the subject from one to the other. Sick, sick, sick.
Oh, and while we are on embarrassing/stupid things pilots do to shame themselves and their companies ... did any of you hear the story about Tim Martins? He was an American Eagle guy who claimed to be an F-16 pilot, volunteer firefighter, volunteer at his church, etc. ALPA magazine did a whole article about him (scroll to pages 22 & 23) just a couple of months ago, and then found out that he lied about pretty much all of it. He never joined the military, never joined the firefighters, a lot of his logbook time was faked, etc., etc. The article is no longer on their website.

Don't forget the incident of the Pinnacle pilot and FA getting busy in the bushes, losing there clothes, breaking into a Fire department suburban to steal a flashlight, walking down the street in the buff, and getting arrested.
You three companies make up an interesting bunch.
