Pinnacle Corp., buys Mesaba

Jerk? Let me refer you to rule # 3 of this forum
3. Watch your language.
If you can't express your frustration without the use of a four-letter word, come back when you're not as frustrated.

Anyways, was saying you have the option of quitting again.

Well aware seeing as how I did it, though on the furlough I get paid better than quitting. On your advice I'll check out the rules again.

I think you'll find the company will be furloughing at a more active pace than ever before so you're dream shot is gonna have to wait a bit lad. But I hold out hope for you, I really do. *mwah*

You have the option of quitting this forum nutz if all you offer is random and negative posts. :dunno:

Nah, his deep and insightful (never trite) advice has given me new eyes for this world. Obviously, nutz is a valuable member of this forum community and we should never dismiss his sage wisdom.

I wonder what this will do to flow throughs to Delta.

Compass and Mesaba both have flow throughs with Delta.

I wonder if they will remain?

Will this announcement affect the Flow Through Agreement with our Pilots?

Mesaba’s contract with Delta stipulated that the Flow Through Agreement is terminated when Delta sells the airline. It also requires that the parties will meet prior to any termination for the purpose of discussing whether continuation or modification would be appropriate. With that in mind, the parties have agreed to honor flow for an interim period while the parties discuss the possible continuation of flow through.

This one is way out of left field for me. Joe I feel your pain too man, I hope we dont end up getting screwed in the end....

It would be hilarious if after selling mesaba/compass delta then just cancels their feed and boots them out of DCI, since as wholly owned they didn't have any CPA. "uhhh... What did we jut buy?" :)

I guess they probably thought of that though and the purchase probably includes a new CPA.

Guys this announcement is total BS. Haven't we been told for the last two weeks that it was ASA/SKWY buying Mesaba?

This little tidbit from Pinnacle's press release should worry the DL and UA MEC's

As we grow, our emphasis will be on expanding our existing fleets of CRJ-900 and Q400 aircraft, the most cost-effective and fuel-efficient aircraft types within their respective

classes – and what our airline partners are demanding.”

All that money we made for Pinnacle holdings over at Colgan and they go buy another airline!!! AHHH! S!

Heh. And they say lightning doesn't strike twice.

I wouldn't worry about them expanding the -900. They've had options for those for years, but they haven't said a peep about using them. Now, they'll tell you about the Q400 all day. Mention the -900, and it's like "Oh yeah! We DO have those, don't we?"

Well we are compared to pinnacle and colgan I'm sure. It's so guys can get 18 days off, like I did this month. So we can take vacations. So we aren't cancelling flights for lack of crew. So on and so on and so on and so on.. I'm sure Pinnacle is gonna fix all that.

I have 19 days off this month.
I have vacation this month.
I have 102 hrs of credit this month.

I guess we aren't so different, you and I.
