Is that in the multi-engine airplane PTS? I'm asking because I honestly don't know anymore...not to measure anything. :beer:It's possible the DPE may need to see an SE go around, at least the initial part of it, just to see that you know the mechanics and can execute one....

I don't know man, were you flying the turbo charged version? I can tell you that the Aztec I fly sucks on SE climb. It's a '78 non turbo. People familiar with this particular plane told me go-around was possible, but should not be considered as an option. SE, get it on the ground 1st try, or you may be landing on I-385.
I know on my initial multi (and subsequent MEI) I didn't have to do an OEI go-around. That was.........whew.......a long time ago now. Well, a long time ago to me.Am not sure either anymore. This was the reasoning on my checkride long ago that was used and executed, and makes sense. But I don't know if its a specific PTS requirement anymore.

I didn't have to do a SE Missed until I hopped into the CE-500 for my ATP/type.

I think I did mine in '05, so things very well could have (and probably did) change............and dammit, I'm just too lazy to look it up!Same. No single-engine missed approaches until my ATP ride. Then again, I got my initial multi-engine rating in...2002?

Actually it's a test for a certificate or a rating on a certificate. It's a test for a license. Don't try to show him your a badass. And besides, some people say in a counter-rotating airplane neither engine is critical, and some say both engines are critical. Don't open that can, trust me.

CONGRATULATIONS.I passed! Once I got the SE ILS done (did that first), the rest was a breeze. I just made sure to guard the blue line on SE operations, because I knew that would fail me right out. Wasn't too bad. Thanks all for the words of advice and encouragement.

Congrats on passing your ride! Now comes the difficult\frustrating part, BUILDING multi time!
Luckily I've got a friend that I ride with on a Kingair 200. It's one of the reasons I got my ME at this point in my training. So hopefully I'll be putting quite a bit of ME turbine time in the book. I need to get back on track for commercial now that I've got the ME engine out of the way!Congrats on passing your ride! Now comes the difficult\frustrating part, BUILDING multi time!
