ASA Recalls All?

I'll ask around with some of the people I know at Horizon.

I'm cautious about the planes coming from QX, mainly because Horizon has been looking to put those airplanes somewhere and get more Q4's. I think it would have made VP of Flight Ops' page by now.

Too bad you'll have to take the HUD's out if you do get them though...

The COO's official memo is not enough for you? You're such a hardass.

Wouldn't be for me. We've seen memos saying that a pilot contract is right around the corner from our CEO for as long as I've been at Pinnacle. Still no contract. We got a memo saying we were leasing two 50 seaters from CMR. They eventually showed up.....roughly SIX MONTHS after the memo was out. We saw TWO flight manual revisions between that memo and when those planes hit the ramp. Sure, it may be true, but never believe any time frame management gives you. It's likely more for the stockholders and less for reality.

Dont mind Bama anyway Steve. It's quite obvious he read into what I was typing instead of actually reading what I wrote.

Our COO's memo didn't mention anything about where the airframes are coming from.

My comment was regarding the registrations of those airframes (N#s), and yet Bama is thinking I meant something else...which he hasn't provided any clarification on or apologized for his misunderstanding and trying to call someone out for no reason.

I will on this note be quite frank and honest. Our COO and VP of Flight Ops, it seems, has done a far better job communicating with the pilot group than our own union leadership and communication chairman.

Yesterday was the first time I've heard anything from the union about the state of furloughs since September. I know the "furlough committee" is a volunteer position, so I can't get too worked up about it, but I did think it was amusing that they called all the furloughees yesterday. Everyone wants to be the bearer of good news. I had about a half dozen questions about class dates, lodging during training, insurance, vacancies, etc. They didn't have any answers.

Calm yourself... You're gonna have an Internet aneurysm. Not the Bret Michaels cool kind, either.

Eh that is pretty calm... I just wish if Marcus was going to go on the internet and start stuff, he could back it up.... And for the fact he seems overly excited about Mesa folding on many forums, including this one, is rather disturbing. I would just go as far to say our CEO and his number one guy Scott Kirby have recently stated that USairways is looking for consolidation in the regionals they have flying for them. They want the number to lower, it is currently at 9, and thus work things out with Mesa if at all possible to fly those CRJ900s... If unable he was then quoted saying he rather have PDT/PSA flying them... But Marcus again seems to know more about this very item... Just wish he could come straight with an answer on his excitement of ASA growing at possible Mesa demise and or Comair losing planes or even Horizon..... Regional growth YAY!!!!

ps.... Rant over, its great for those coming back after being gone for so long... I just hope it is for the right reasons.... Not due to a demise of another regional and their pilots.

You need to relax Paul. I'm not going to sit here and argue with you about the future. I don't state what I state in excitement, I just state info. Yes its sad what's happening to Mesa pilots but that is business bro. That is the reality of capitalism and the world we live in. It's survival of the fittest right now.

That being said, you have your info telling you PSA or Air Wisky will get the flying. And I have mine saying SKW inc will take over. We will see who's right in a couple months.

I'm seriously surprised you haven't been called into the cp office (or other management) and asked to stop spreading rumors. I've heard of people getting called in for much less.

This isn't middle school. People don't think you're cool for finding out first who is dating who.

You cannot be serious...

First off, the Mesa rumots are full blast on ours. 2nd, out of 1600 pilots at ASA around 200 or less are on web boards.

Your statement is comical. Is Dough going to get called into the chief pilots office for saying Delta rumored to hire? Geez..

Um...

Delta isn't Rumored to hire...

Not when a manager AT Delta sends out a Memo which has been made public, stating that Delta WILL BE hiring...

That then means Delta WILL be hiring...not rumor...a factual statement based directly from someone with an authority to execute such a statement.

You just don't get it do you?

Again Marcus I have no desire to debate you. Much like your friends excitement of growing at RAH while Midwest/F9 pilots are on the street I lack such excitement for my own personal gain. I with the CRJ900 and 70 plus seat flying rather not touch it. I rather not see my regional grow, and doubt it will, and rather see Mainline grow... My future depends on that.

I do not see the biological aspect you speak of with Darwins theories. I rather see an industry rebound, stability, quality of life gains etc. Those that regionals will lack in which a unified mainline operator can achieve for many...

If Mesa folds I wish for their flying to go to Mainline not my airline. Then our pilots get hired at a DAL, Airtran, Jetblue etc... Then I move up by such... And then when 65 hits you will gain by that as well... I'm in no huge hurry to upgrade. I lack such experience and know that will come. I've experienced 2.5 years at PSA. I still learn something new every checkride, month, year etc in which I fly... And hopefully when my turn comes I have learned enough to step into that left seat... But man slow down with your potential gain at ASA and think about what is best for your career??? I doube growth at ASA or any regional will be a good thing for your career... Just a thought... Less flying for mainline and more for you??? Seems like a bad mix of things???

Ps.. Its not a rumor when our head guys are on video saying they want fewer regionals at Airways, they want to redo their Mesa 900 flying and keep Mesa but if unable they'd prefer to keep that flying in house or at a wholly own... And thus take Mesa pilots on if able to prevent them from hitting the streets(preferential hire programs etc)...

No I do get it. It's you and a few others that don't. Dough posted the rumor BEFORE it became public. Why do you think the name of the thread is I TOLD YA SO? The Comair kid posted the DTW base shift for Comair before it was announced. Many regularly post rumots on here but when I do its a problem for just a few on here. Too bad. There is the ignore button haha.

I work for "Southernjets" :)

But I do pretty much keep insider information on the 'down low' until I see it mentioned someplace in the public spectrum.

. There is the ignore button haha.

Haha I'm glad someone taught you growing up it is a good thing to run away from those whom disagree with you. You sure as hell can look at Todd and others on here and bet they are not as immature and rather face their critics with factual, mature, adult conversations. And in fact the many whom disagree with them have respect for them because of such.. But some are just cowards and run I guess when the heat is on...

No worries you will be a big bad CRJ900 Captain at ASA... Pardon me I mean Atlantic Southeastern Airlines...
