Does Ameriflight have a dispatcher at each location, or is it centralized? Do you have to have ADX license to work for Amflight? I am interested in working in SLC, I knew someone who said they worked dispatch there before. I am currently studying for the written and would love a job to gain any expereince before ponying up the $ and time for class.

No ADX required and there's dispatchers at all of the main bases.

This sounds like a good way to get my feet wet. How up to date is the job posting page on thier website? Anyone know about pay or benefits? Any flight benefits?

With EatSleepFly's help, I tried to get a dispatch gig with AMF in SLC when they had an opening a few years ago. I seem to recall they had two shifts, morning and evening. I also seem to recall the job went to the ACP's wife or sister in law or something.

We don't have any openings right now for dispatcher in SLC. They prefer someone with flying background but its not required and you don't need to have your written done. Generally dispatchers start as a lineman than will move over to dispatch when an opening happens. And there are 2 dispatchers an AM and PM dispatcher and base manger.

If you want to dispatch go to SkyW and make more money and live in SGU
