NMB ruling

Let’s hope this gets blocked by the courts, It's silly that a vocal minority with only 10% could destroy a company. Even if the idiots at skywest try and start another it won't pass and I hope the company plays hardball and doesn't let this fifth column get away with anything.

Troll? So you think its ok for 200 out of 3000 people to be able to dictate what happens to the majority? IN the senate it requires 2/3rds vote to make a change to the consitution.

Well, then, it behooves those passionate enough to care to not have a union to get off their duffs and do as much, if not more bush beating as the unionists to sway the vote their way. And seriously, Fifth Column? haven't heard that term since about the McCarthy Era.

If the majority doesn't want it, they can just pick up the phone and vote no.

You'd better vote no next time then, Pat! That'd take, what, 60 seconds on the phone or computer?

I'm glad this change was finally made. This goes to show everyone what a difference it is to have pro-labor lawmakers in Washington. This change is all thanks to President Obama and his appointments to the NMB. Well done.

So get off your ass and vote.

Problem solved.

All it does is allow those who actually care enough to stayed informed to determine the future of the labor group. Apathy no longer counts one way or the other. Either for or against, vote! Sounds reasonable to me.

Of the people who care one way or the other, if it's a minority who want a union, vs. the majority who do NOT want a union, a union would not get voted in. That's wrong.... how? :dunno:

Wow.....I don't know where to start. Your post is SO ridiculous, it falls into the realm of the pathetic, hopeless, naive (enter any other adjective describing the stupidity of your statement).

If your supposedly non-union 'majority' wants to remain non-union.....they'll have to actually do something about it via casting a vote. Remember, you still have a choice! What an amazingly simple concept....count the votes of those who actively participate in their future. Apathy will no longer be a management crutch.

Kudos to the NMB!!!

idiots? really? Explain what an idiot is to me. Is an idiot part of the 20% that work passionately to do something or the 80% who wait around for someone else to do it?

I would never consider anyone who was making a decision to act based on their understanding of the facts, right or wrong, an idiot. I would consider an idiot someone who does not take part in a vote that will determine his or her future, and even more someone who would hurl insults at people taking action to shape their future.
