FAA accident video from Prop start (1950's)

I actually thought (given the outcome of the situation) it was quite comical. And if someone is in the airplane while hand propping and something goes wrong before you get in, tell the to "pull the red lever!"
 
It is a classic. Back in the days before everyone was walking around with some kind of recording device, it was unusual to catch an accident on film. In this case, the FAA was at the field making a training movie when the event occurred and they swung the camera towards the action.

As I recall, the person at the controls was the pilot's girlfriend. He had brought her to the airport to give her a ride and found the battery dead.
 
I thought that was pretty funny too, right up until the guy got ran over a bunch of times. Glad to see he is ok.
 
This must be the moment in aviation history when the officials looked at each other and said "Hmm, maybe we should include something about this in private pilot training."
