Does anybody know or can somebody recommend me a free downloadable or online IFR Flight Planning program? :)

*Kindly do not advise me signing-up for AOPA.

OK everyone seams to like DUATS. I used it when it was the only thing out there. I tried it again tonight. I still like Fltplan.com better. What do you like DUATS over Fltplan.com?

fltplan.com > DUATS.

better organization of wx data. Only gives you pertinent info.

VERY accurate aircraft performance data

Shows what other aircraft previously filed as well as what the actual clearance was (makes planning a breeze)

EAPIS (not free, but very helpful and convenient!)

I really like how it gives you winds aloft for several different altitudes so you can choose the best one to fly.

The passenger briefing printout is a nice touch as well.

...thats all I can come with off the top of my head, but i am sure there are more things but I havent used DUATS in so long, I forgot what it was lacking!

Looking at FltPlan.com,

For an IFR flight plan, "ETE" has been calculated.

My question is, does "ETE" time includes the Approach time? Or just only the Enroute Time reaching VOR only?

I do not believe it includes the approach time. I have never noticed a way to include an approach in the flight plan. I guess you could add the fixes in the flight plan if you wanted it included.

I use FltPlan.com and it just has a better presentation with more information. The printouts are better and the format is friendlier. Its always been reliable and is usually very very good on routes. Plus on Fltplan.com you can see what routes ATC has been giving other people in your direction or along your route and its usually right now.

I dont have any complaints so far and ive used it for over a year now.

I wonder, what does KBIL0015 & KBIL0010 exactly means?

How are we going to know when we are at these two points?
