Effective 31May, I am unemployed. The company is folding the tent here in ATL and moving the airplane to our home base.

CE-500/CE-525 and Lr-Jet ATP typed along with airliner stuff. Lots of hours, no accidents, references available upon request.

So... if anyone hears of anything they are not interested in...

Any desire to get back into an O-2? Buddy of mine flies them overseas, but as ISR birds IIRC..

Talking to a friend who has some spook contracts. Deploy for month or two and come home. O2s in ISR these days? Wow..

But I will entertain any and all offers for the right price.

If nothing comes along before mid summer it is a sure sign it is time to crank up the Swift and head out for distant shores.;)

Up at the airfield today and found out we now have a recently restored P-40 in the hangar next to my Swift. What a magnificent flying machine.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. Hey, if we're ever hiring, I'll put a good word in for you, if you're interested.
Hang in there. Hope you're feeling ok, btw. :)

Too close to being too old for -121 ops. But thank you VERY much for the offer of help.

:picsplease:

Coming. Seems I will have soon plenty of time to get some good shots. :D

In Jackson MS yesterday. The FBO is nothing to speak of so we got a car and went downtown. visited the art museum and then went to the Capital. Very ornate and impressive building. Neither House or Senate in session but as I wondered around I saw the walls had pictures of former members of the Senate and House but the oddest thing. Until recently, there were no pictures of black reps. Maybe no one told them about 'picture day'.

We also dropped by the local NOAA wx station on the field at JAN and spent about an hour with one of the meteorologists discussing skew-T charts, their wx models and how they 'blend' different models to create forecasts, how they feed info around the country. The various products NOAA is providing via the net is astounding.

And bunch of USAF T-1s at the FBO. Spent time talking to one of the instructors about UPT class sizes and graduation rates. Interesting discussion on prog rides and the wash-out process. Class size around 15-10.

It seemed appropriate. Here were some guys near the start point of their flying career and I was looking back over 40+yrs and almost 20,000hrs. For some reason it conjured up Dr. Seuss and "Oh the places you will go".
Adopted for Superbowl 2006 and changed slightly but one of the better readings of the poem.

I forgot about these marvelous Dr. Seuss pearls of wisdom until we graduated from FA class and our class speaker referenced it. Very appropriate indeed!
Thanks for reminding me of it again---it put a smile on my face. :)

It's hard to keep a good sailor down. You'll find something better in a couple of days anyway.

a friend called last night and asked if i was available next week to help deliver a Citation V into Mexico. Seems he has been working with a few brokers delivering airplanes. I advised not able for his time requirement next week but after 31MAY, the door is open. So, there is stuff out there.
