Hawaiian's First Airbus A330

Where the heck did they find all those EUROS in HI? :D

Based on the exchange rate alone I would have gone with Boeing (who was actually German BTW).

I helped make airbus parts, for the 330 in Renton WA. so technically airbus is made around the world.

but believe me, there is nobody i despise more than the french.

Sure Airbus has American designed and built parts and Boeing has European designed and built parts.

But at then end of the day when a company buys a Boeing, that boosts the US economy more than the European economy and I'm all for that!

:yeahthat:

AIRBUS QUESTION....

Does anyone think that if Sully had been flying a Boeing the airplane would have made it to a runway? Didn't the Airbus's computer bring the engines back to idle thrust because of erroneous engine readings?

Nah if sully was flying a Boeing he would have made it all the way to CLT. Ah snap.

the french are a separate race now?

Racism is not necessarily related to race, but a social division based on a group's similarities.

Ask the AF what they think about the Army and vice versa. It's a form of racism that is not related to race but which group they belong to.

Why?

I'm half French, I didn't lived in France long, I lived on a sailboat in Nice for about 1.5 year, but I know every corner of the country....In Paris there is a ton of Americans, my GF brother goes to an American school there, he has a blast so the rest of the americans..

you probably can't even point France on the world map....

yes, you probably took my last comment to be a form of ignorance, which I admit, I would probably retaliate the same way if you bashed on my 'social division'.

Lets just say from my stand-point i have a slight chip on my shoulder, I have been to France, I have even sailed myself for a year in the caribbean. Guess what one of my favorite islands were? It happened to be a french territory.

back to the topic, both boeing and airbus are great planes. we need both too provide a capitalistic market, nobody wants a monopoly.

who knows maybe obama will buy boeing next??....hope i don't ruffle anybodies feathers with that one.

747?
when did HA have 747's?

I remember sitting in the middle of 5 seats in the middle row in coach, on the L10/dc10, and sitting on those ugly orange and pink seats, but I can say the POG juice was really good.
