Good Army aviation forum?

I'm starting a WO application with the Army. Are there any good sources of information about the process so I can know what to expect and how to best project myself? My local recruiter is very helpful but admits that he doesn't do many of these.

While not the most active site for Army aviation, there are some of us around. In fact, there's a current thread in the military forum where sethmerideth just got picked up for WOCS... not much more current information than that!

A search for "WOCS" brings up 51 posts and a search for "Warrant" brings up over 150.

Thanks, I've been looking through that thread, good information.

One question I had that's unrelated to the WOCS thread, what sort of activities, if any, are prohibited for Army aviators? I'm thinking along the lines of motorsports and other "dangerous" activities. I searched for this one and couldn't find anything official here or online.

In flight school there used to be a prohibition against flying on our own... and maybe a few other minor activities. That was 10 years ago and only applied to flight students.

Generally though, no - you can do pretty much whatever you want if it is legal.

Ok, thanks. I read something about SNAs basically only being allowed to go to class and go out drinking while at API.

It wouldn't be enough to keep me from applying, but it would really suck to not be able to ride my jet skis when I got some free time during training.

I have used those three in addition to this website to help along the way. Do a search at those forums and you will find a lot of information on WOFT.
