I would appreciate any information on aerial mapping organizations. Hiring would be great, but I'm looking to make some contacts regardless as you never know what future needs may be. Willing to relocate

Lots of single pilot time in pistons and turbine and am able to spend a significant chunk of time on the road presently.

Thanks

Hey,

Although not currently hiring that I know of, both these companies will be expanding continuously over the coming months/years.

They fly CE206's all over the USA, 7 on 7 off, 24k to start and medical bennies. Not bad places to be at all...Ive got several friends at both places and most are generally happy.

Thanks for the information. I'm assuming you are on the road/in hotels on these gigs right? If so what do you do on your 7 off. You just stay in base and the company pays the hotel bill for days off as well?

Well as I understand it, you usually fly the a/c to where ever the photo mapping gig is located. If that is half way across the country in 206 then you are going to need housing on your 7 off. You clearly aren't getting back home, and income isn't for paying for your own hotel room while on the road.

Not in the 206, no. You're shuttled back to home base commercially for your 7 off.

So that others can use the info as well, here are some places I have dug up.
Air America
Surdex Corp
Avia Terra
Norther States Aviation
Wilsonco.com
Landcare
Desert Winds
Keystone
RMA

Several mentioned on old threads here if you search through them

I worked for Landcare. They start hiring in the fall. No 7 on 7 off. You are always working and pretty much live in a hotel for 7 months. It's a fun gig if you are single though, and get to see lots of the country in a 172.
