"Religious slur" that offended one of the FAs??
I think that people (ergo, that FA) need to thicken their skin significantly, especially if they are in a job in which they interact with the general public.
Not knowing the Flight Attendants and having our Manager of In flight as my FA yesterday due to no staffing I can tell you there are two sides to every story..... I'm not protecting either side, but if you are given a direction by a crew member you need to listen period. The Captain is, as we know, in charge of the ship which includeds the "Kitchen". However the FA's are in charge of that Cabin which happens to be inside the Captains "Ship" and thus they need to be paid attention to and respected/listened to....
I kind of wish I was on this flight. Because not watching survivor I could not care WHOM you are. You are a paying pax, trying to get home. I do not care if you are Hillary Clinton (whom I have had on flights) or Mr Off Line Jumpseater.... You are not above the rules, entitled to anything that others are not, and mostly not excused from listening to those in charge in the back..... Do not go telling me you are on Survivor and expect me to care any more about you then the lady whom paid 300 bucks for her ticket, never flies, and just had a death in her family..... You are the same and shall be treated the same...
Not saying if the behavior was unprofessional she should not be addressed.... But for a "celeberty" acting the way this person did appears to be rather unprofessional as well... I have a strong gut feeling, much like any other pax, you will continue to fly whatever airline has the cheapest ticket/fare.... Maybe not right away but you will....
My one experience with a PSA F/A and gate checked bag was very bad, even as a crew member. She was incredibly condescending and treated me like I was about 8 years old. Wonder if it was her. I kinda hope so.
Not saying you did not have a bad experience. But it is in their FOM says that if you are a crew member, your rollerboard and flight case go under the plane. I'm not saying it excuses any poor behavior, but it is expected that you are a crewmember place your stuff under the plane like everyone else.... It had to do with weight and balance issues that were questioned a couple years ago I believe.... Keeping in mind we at PSA I'm sure like AWAC, ASA, RAH, DAL, AA or any other airline have some rather poor "Customer Service Employees" working as FA, gate agents, ticket counter employees etc...
