I don't really have a favorite livery for an airline, but I do like the color contrast and simplicity of the old Piedmont.

Crossair was wonderful airline though. Got me my first .1 in a Saab 2000!

yes it was! Where did you flew on the saab? I'm from Lugano, where the Saabs were based.

Now their saab fleet is operated by Darwin Airline http://www.darwinairline.com/ita.php?un=25&ln=d&USERNAME=&PASSWORD= , most of the pilots are from former Crossair, when swissair went down lots of them didn't get hired at swiss, so Darwin was founded by them.

They are going to have openings this april, mins are JAA frozen ATP....

I like close enough to the Ontario Airport to get a good look at about 10 a night when ONT lands to the east.

I think I may agree with you. Nice paint scheme. The new MD-11's look just as good.

My retirement bird in my favorite colors.....:D

I actually like a lot of the contemporary liveries out there right now. US Airways and United's current paint schemes are nice:

Delta's new colors have slowly grown on me:

But I did like their "wavy gravy" livery and was disappointed when they changed it so soon:

American's has always been a classic... I think they introduced it in what, 1968? 1969?

TWA's last livery was a good one:

And lastly, I thought Braniff's "ultra" scheme looked cool on the 727 and DC-8:

I'd move in a heartbeat if they took someone with an american ATP, 2 type ratings (one in the saab), 2000 TPIC, and german fluency.

This is probably the best livery to ever grace the sides of an L-1011 (my personal favorite aircraft).

Nothing comes close to the final TWA scheme.
