I overheard two guys at an FBO working on their ratings discussing the fact that although the pilot career has lost a significant amount of luster (Money, Time Off, etc) and they were going into debt for a job that could not economically justify the investment, at least they could still use it to attract the opposite sex......


I think not.... the woes of the career are now mainstream knowledge.

Pilots have had their image tarnished since the good old catch me if you can days. Have you seen most airline pilots these days. You would think most of them need a walker to get to the plane or need to hit the gym... I noticed this- people watching for 8 hours at skyharbor..It also doesn't help that most pilots are married and have popped out one or more puppies.. For a certain few it has never failed when it comes to chicks.. A good qoute from my lawyer buddy "you damn pilots get all the chicks."
 
Ah, BRITISH women. Obviously dentists aren't on that list.

From what I've seen, Chicks don't dig young pilots because they made big dough or because they can fly airplanes. Chicks dig the stuff that usually comes along with being a pilot. Confidence, Goal Orientation, pilots are usually in good shape, ect. I never thought it was a big deal to know what you want to do in life when you're 4, but now I'm 19 and almost no one I know my own age has ANY clue what career they want.

I was voted "Most likely to succeed" despite also being voted "Class clown" in the same yearbook. Must have been since I've been telling people the same thing since Kindergarten.
