American Airlines Internship Interview

I have an interview with American Airlines on Monday, March 1st for their Flight Operations Internship.
Has anybody gone through this interview? What kind of questioning can I expect?

I had a co-op with another major airline so I can venture to say the questions might about the same:

Tell me about yourself?

Why do you want to work here?

Describe a time where you felt challenged? A time that you failed?

How do you think your coursework thus far has prepared you for this internship?

What do you hope to get out of it?

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Good luck! An airline internship is GREAT fun and will be an amazing learning experience. Let us know how it goes...

I did the interview last Spring with L.S. and she was very nice. Asked fair questions and was reasonable. I don't remember much about it, but it was a bit unorganized and evidentally I received the wrong interview time. Flights there and back were uneventful.

Nothing too bad to say about the experience, but I took the internship at Continental.

Those were pretty much what I got asked on top of:

The current crosswind component on the plane your flying

The types of aircraft American operates

Who is the company president

What is our stock price

American hubs

What is induced drag?

VP of flight

Describe yourself in 3 words? (or some variation thereof) Maybe a couple more HR type questions

There may also be an one-page essay portion on something regarding AA

That's most I can remember (3 years ago for me). Don't be alarmed if it's a relatively short interview. LS is great, but also VERY busy! For me, it was no doubt an invaluable experience.

Good luck!

I did the internship with Mr. Windowseat, and I highly recommend it! I don't have much to add on what to study for. Treat it just like a mini airline interview.

Thanks a lot guys! This has all been a lot of useful information!! If anybody has anything else that they want to add please feel free! This is an internship that I really want.
