goulding's lodge, utah... also known as the RED BULL strip in monument valley, utah... (red bull air race FTW!)

Reminds me of an airport in that old FAA Density Altitude video where the guy flies a new V Tail Bonanza.

What is the code? And is this where Kirby keeps all of his airplanes that they fly in those RedBull videos?

Happy Buddha right?

Yep happy/travelling buddha. kinda like "jesus is my copilot"... haha!

there is no identifier....its a private strip. the only reason i knew it was out there is because i knew red bull had used it for air race. kirby has his own strip at his house somewhere... this isnt it.

Fun stuff. The pavement is deteriorating pretty badly nowadays.. worse now than when it was dirt! Identifer is UT25

Rumor has it that a Twin Otter can land over the cliff with full flaps and idle power.. I took these pics from the ramp a while ago

Steve Jones hanger. He clipped a gate and passed over my head no more then a 100 feet. it was intense. Anyways, check the missing wheel ferring. Beautiful...I hope I get the chance to fly out there someday...Northeast (cough cough Cape area) is getting very old...

Sad to say, but in 2,000 hours of flight time, the most beautiful terrain i've flown is northern Vermont, which one can certainly appreciate, but damn...Utah looks gorgeous!
