Lynx Ceasing Operations after Labor Day.

Lynx Aviation is DONE - Call sign "SHASTA"

It has been announced that Lynx will quit operation just after Labor day 2010.

Best wishes to all of those affected.

Im sure everyone will read more in the next few days.

So what will happen to all those Q's? And mostly the pilots whom are being let go while RAH pilots are still employed and being recalled?

I'm a little confused. Wasn't this bought up by RAH? If so are they just scrapping the name or are they dropping the company all together? What is happening to the airplanes? etc..etc...

Damn, my sim partner from initial Piedmont training went over there about 6 months ago.
This sucks.

Shutting down. 6-7 airplanes gone by mid April with total shutdown in Sept.

The pilots were on property when bought. Thus they should all be placed onto RAH seniority as well. Not on the bottom either, but within.... Since they had zero furloughs when they were acquired...

Supposedly they are going to switch over to jets on those routes.

Not sure how many will be able to find jobs at RAH.

Can't say I am really surprised. No reason to run 70 seat turboprops around when Republic has 70 seat jets sitting around with nothing to do.

The sucky thing is I'd bet that these pilots have absolutely no chance at getting integrated into the REP list.

ALL SHOULD..... Perhaps someone more versed in mergers can touch on that topic... But an SLI should be getting worked on and they all had jobs when this merger went through.... Guess Colgan might be getting more Q's slightly quicker?
