Retake on the ATSAT

I took the ATSAT, last October ('09) and did not get a score that I feel is acceptable,(still passed but not what I wanted) and I just thought well since it takes so long for this process to happen, I figured I would take it again after the one year mark to see if I can better my score. The question I have is, what if there is not a PUBNAT announcement around that time, is there any other way to take this test again?

Neg I do not believe there is any other way. Your stuck with what you got until another announcement. I'm in the same boat as you.

With your score, that your not to content with, you still got emails for your geo preferences? Would you be able to say if your score was a (Q) or (WQ) score? I know the folks with the "WQ" scores get chosen before those with the "Q" scores, but I didn't know if he "Q" scores, still recieved emails about the Geopref...

"Q" scores and "WQ" get the same emails.

I got a pathetic 72.5 and I still received my location preferences email, that was for PUBNAT 1. I felt defeated. However, at least I passed, albeit barely, especially after guessing on every single math question.

At the time, the speed/distance formula baffled me and I didn't give myself time to practice.

For PUBNAT 8, I was given the opportunity to retake the exam. I'm pitiful at math, let alone math in my head.

Anyhow, not to bore you with details, I didn't even take the test again although I had the opportunity. My ASAP page still has my only score which I'm hoping, much like a college admissions application, that they evaluate the entire candidate instead of the ATSAT score as a method to quickly weed out lesser candidates.

Judging by the numerous information on this board, I'm SOOL. But, I still got a geopref email.

Yeah I got a "Q" score as well, and I know that there is a slim chance, but just wanted to know "Q" testers still recieved emails. This cut back, or "slow down" in the hiring process may help me, if infact they open up another announcment in-time for me to retake the test. Sadly I'm fighting the age battle.
