System awards at CJC

Latest and greatest rumor that I have heard is that we will be starting AVL and FAY April 1st and manning a spare in the UEX system out of IAD. Heard rumblings of a BOS base, but not sure how that will work with the system being really disjointed when you throw in the BDL and DCA flying that doesn't go thru a Colgan "hub". According to M.H. though as far as he was concerned they weren't going to close anymore out-stations and 3 weeks later TYR closed. I don't attribute that to M.H. though, whom I believe is a straight-shooter. Base closures are above his paygrade.
If any of you EWR guys see K.H. tell him it's about frickin' time you got in the left-seat and also extend a hearty and deserved congratulations!

He is out of his mind...I will never understand that man. QOL will be awesome (QOL of Colgan is a relative term I suppose) but trading Q CA for Q FO in IAH?

The CA section is slowly inching closer..about 50 away. I wish more guys senior to me either took the upgrade or went to IAH though. Doesnt look like ill move up more than 5 or 6 in base.

The guy lives on florida and Had jet blue to commute on...... But no longer! They go to hobby not iah, he's gonna hate his quality of life commuting on cal with our pass benefits. You already hold weekends off in ewr don't you?
 
Weren't the final awards (with class dates) supposed to come out today? Am I the only one that's been hitting refresh every ten minutes since 1 this afternoon?

EDIT: Never mind, I just read crewtrac. I'm the moron.

I wouldnt know...I dont want them.

I get my top 3 every month and on the few occasions I have needed weekends off I have gotten it.

So I suppose I would hold weekends off if I bid for it. I only bid commutable 4 day trips with BOS and PWM overnights so if you see those...dont bid them!

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure I'm not one of the 5 or 6 guys that helped you move up (for now, dont worry it will get better). I'm most definitely junior to you. I hold a line, but can't get weekends off. Until August in IAH that is :insane:

Yeah Teller please talk to your boy KH (u may not even know him for all I know) and tell him to do his part. Who passes up 121 Turbine PIC time in today's market/economy? That guy could hold a line on the Saab easy....
 
I know K.H. pretty well, we flew together in the 1900 when he first started in BKW and then later in HYA when I spent my last year with the company. I think I can understand why he wants to stay in the right-seat, yet get out of EWR. There is no quality of life for the Captains at the bottom of the base seniority list in EWR, and if you can take the financial hit, I say more power to him. At this point, I couldn't care less about the seat, equipment or routes I fly anymore. I just don't give a damn unless I am in my car driving home. Perhaps I sound a bit jaded, but I have my reasons and none of it has anything to do with Colgan Air per se. Even though I personally have come to loathe this place and the majority of management.

Wish they would post the class dates aleady. In flight Wifi is pretty cool. Currently posting from dl 33.

Haha, I've been following him (and SP) around the system for almost three years; I know how you feel. I think Scott's got it right, though...if I could afford to not double my salary (which my wife assures me I can't) I'd be happy to keep my current schedule/QOL. If it works for him...
