American Airlines Museum

I wouldn't go to DFW for the specific purpose of going to the AA museum, but if you're in the area and have time to check it out it is absolutely worthy of an hour or so of your time. A LOT of neat stuff on display.

Has anyone been to this museum? Is it worth checking out if in the Dallas area?

Yeah totaly i was there 2 weeks ago, there's a video presentation of the 90's you can watch for 4 bucks with first class seats, then take a walk to the museum seeing many interesting information about the airline's history, personaly I liked it.

I live down the street from the museum and have been there several times. Yeah, it's maybe not worth a long trip to go see, but it is a very nice museum. They have a lot of great vintage airline memorabilia. Make sure to sit through the movie. The theater is neat; filled with old airline seats. The movie itself is a bit corny, but it has some great footage. They also have a very nice gift shop. I could spend a lot of money there!

If you have the time check out Frontiers of flight at Love field and Cavanuagh flight Museum at Addison too.

American Airlines museum was good. Went there a few months ago. Lots of neat stuff and a beautiful DC-3 on display there.

I've heard it is good but it pales in comparison to Frontiers of Flight or Cavanaugh.

I could live at either of those.

I've been to the Frontiers of flight at Love field and I thought it was really cool for as small as it was. I didn't know it was there until I drove by and I was really happy I stopped! I was actually staying much closer to DFW and didn't realize that American had a museum as well. If I had known I would definitely have gone!

I live here in Dallas, I've been there once. I honestly didn't find it that amazing, I thought it was great that they had the old plane there but that's about it. The rest of the stuff I had seen from documentaries about AA or airplanes in general. I'm sure though that you'll enjoy it!
