Rumors of Eagle Hiring

Maybe the reaction he was looking for was a chuckle. That's the reaction that I had anyway.

My reaction is he was looking for the colgan thread :D (where there's a dozen people asking "wut if i dont meet the mins?)

Hey so I have an interview with them eagle next week. does anyone know if they still have you take a 50 question test?

When I interviewed in 2007, there was no written test. First there was a brief presentation that made you think you were about to be sold a time-share condo.

Then there was a 'technical knowledge' question period, and an 'HR question period'. Separate interviewers. If your logbooks/resume are all in order and you got through that, you get to eat lunch in the cafeteria and wonder if anybody is watching you.

Hint: If you can read Jepp charts, the Tech portion isn't that hard.
Also, the HR part isn't that hard with some common sense.
Don't be a tool, and you're probably fine here, too.

Then you get a simulator ride. You get a quick briefing and orientation in flight-director based avionics, etc, and you get spooled up on a short lesson profile. You'll fly one of the under-used simulators for airplanes nobody at AMR has anymore (F-100, Saab, etc..). Don't screw that up and the job is yours to lose.

Day two is mostly peeing in the cup and a hearing test. Make sure you don't whizz in the corner of the hearing test booth and that's simple enough.

Oh- wear a suit. Seriously. There are people that still don't get this.

At the risk of another person asking "Do I have what it takes," 1150 tt, 915 ME, 855 turbine, current flying job, corporate pilot, no 121 experience no CFI. Do I have a chance of getting a call?

Just curious on your thought process: If you have a current job (I asssume it is flying a jet in the corporate world) why would you want to go to Eagle?

Exactly.. WTF? I've been at Eagle for a while and Im getting the hell out to go to Corporate.. You can have my spot.. I hate this place.. every month QOL goes down another notch somehow..

I'm leaving because the airplane that I am assigned to is being sold. It was a great gig while it lasted but here soon it will be no more. Applied last week through airline apps, and have still heard nothing. Just curious if maybe anyone knew something that I might not, i.e how many ae intends to hire and how many have accepted already.

Eagle hopefuls: Please disregard the above post. FOR HIM, the QOL may have gone down, but HE is the person who controls his life. He chose this company and this profession.

As for me - Eagle is a very good place to be. Yes, there is the typical, airline, company political BS that happens in........and read this carefully.....EVERY job!

HOWEVER: I've never been so mistreated wherein I had no remedy. I've always enjoyed the flying even when I'm spent. The equipment and maintenance thereof is quite good. The training is top notch. The VERY experienced captains you will work with cannot be replaced, knowledge wise.

Do some folks hate it? Read the above and judge for yourself.

Is it going to be a quality job with a strong company? You bet.

Best of luck to all who apply!

Can you tell me how your QOL has gone down?

I am a commuter and was two from the bottom in ORD for 3 months before my furlough, and will be two from the bottom when I get back to ORD. Life was not great but it was also not all that bad.
