ATP written

I'm also using the Sheppard Air as we speak. Have only spent about an hour with it and its seems lean and efficient. The FAA figures are there as a PDF which is a hassle and you won't be amazed by any flashy graphics or UI.

I called to order and the person was on the phone, said he'd call me rightback and he did. Was a breeze to set up as I was logged on and studying no more than 10 minutes after we got off the phone. Ive given myself a week so I'll let you know how the test went but I don't expect to be asking for my money back.

oooo mac compatible too. I couldn't see on the site, but do they have a 135 prep?

It doesn't matter! I took the 121 ATP written for my 135 checkride! It doesn't really say whether it was 121 or 135 on the test results.;)

Sheppard is the way to go!

I did mine at ATP - it took one full day. I studied their computer program which stripped out the non-relevant questions. Went to lunch, came back and tested. Got a 90 something I think.

Bad side of it is that the guys at the ATP location (Manassas, when it was open), had no clue as to the test and were in no position to give ANY instruction on anything I didn't understand.

Do it again? You bet. Pretty painless, took a short time, and I went and took the ride the next week after two training flights (somewhere else) to get up to speed on the multi again. I'll also say that the checkride is about as easy as it gets, in my opinion. The oral is short (at least mine was), and the ride is very straightforward. I had the benefit of taking the ride with an examiner I did pervious rides with, however, so that probably helped.

Good luck,

LC

My test results indicate Part 121 (if you are refering to the knowledge test). Not that it should matter.

The best part of the Sheppard Air training is the Hints and Tips. For current 121 people, I'd bet if you only had the hints and tips, and you could remember them, you'd pass the test the first time. (without using the software)

Just my opinion!

I'm a Gleim man myself. I love the downloadable thing. It's cheap.... keep going over it until you get a 100 on each section with all the questions in that section active, then start taking the tests...

Then the day before the test I ran over every question in the database to reinsure that I saw all the questions.

An impressive score is sure to result. :)

Referencing this thread (can it get opened mods?), used the Sheppard Air program to prep and it worked really good. Would recommend it to anyone taking the ATP written anytime soon.
