Good shoes

Justin's Ropers, if you're a man, and a manly man at that. I still have the first pair I bought in 2000 because the flight school frowned on my 1993 vintage ASICS. Three new soles later, they still make the ladies holler. OK I made that last part up. But at least you don't look like a freaking waiter.

I have some Deer Stags. They are very comfy, not metal to make security in uniform easier but they started falling apart sooner than I expected. I wish we could were Vans..:D

I've been wearing them since 2000 and it's about the only TSA-happy shoe that I've worn in the past decade that looks like a shoe and feels like a dryer-warmed bunny slipper to me.

Ahhh!

I gotta say thanks to Doug. If it weren't for him pointing me to Doc Martens, I'd have never thought of 'em. I wore a pair of Skechers my first 2 years, and my feet would HUUURT after a 6 hour day, much less a 12-14 hour one. Wearing the Docs, I don't feel pain EVER. :)

Be careful with Justin, some are metal some are not. I wear a pair of plain black Ariat cowboy boots in the winter and some Ecco's when its warmer out. Nice thing about the boots is they look reasonable in jeans and you don't have to bring an extra pair of shoes if you chose not to. My Ecco's look pretty stupid with jeans and a t-shirt.

The model Justins you're looking for is 3170. I've had 2 pair (first one was the wrong size) and neither one of them had the metal shank. I prefer the Justins over the Ariats. They hold a shine a little better.
