Piedmont - 8 Recalls Possible

Piedmont management has indicated that a need has arisen to recall approximately 8 pilots during this quarter. Please refer to the company web site for any official announcements.

Let's hope this is the case!

It's good new for those few. But I was a little disappointed to see it was only eight. It sort of precursors the verdict on a PHX base in the short term. I would guess a 50 pilot reacall would have been a good sign we were going to see that happen. It may very well still. But just 8 recalls for the first quarter implies only a minor increase in block hours for the Spring.

8 is better than none... so I guess congrats! Wish my airline could get their heads out of their butts an realize they need to recall. When you are canceling flights because you don't have enough FOs you are not properly staffed! But what do I know...?!

A furlough out of convenience.

Feel the DCI love.

Hmmmm.... 8 is not enough to get me back in the seat!

Bummer Stap...I'm still hopeful the total recalls for the Spring qtr. will be better than 8. A lot will start to move positively industry wide if the economy keeps trending upward. And things will probably go from bad to awsome very fast I would guess.

Really? How about Congrats to those getting a job back? A loss of aircraft and still a need for more pilots then PSA.... You have many out there whom are without jobs and have been for an ENTIRELY longer time then any PDT FO's who's been furloughed.... I would think this is a HAPPY time instead of a "I dont have mine" sort of time... Just shocking you all would be saying such things as, "Not enough to get me back." Just wow... SPEECHLESS.

Aww c'mon Meyers, cut the guy some slack..He's just sharing his feelings. I have no doubt he is happy for the 8 and views it for what it is, a positive thing. Being furloughed sucks no matter if it's for two months or two years.

Really? Mature... Its not the other forum. And one day you will realize those at PSA are just as happy for those at PDT when good news happens and just as upset when bad things happen.... So we are VERY glad to hear you all are calling pilots back.... ITs a great sign for things to come!!!! So lets not get this topic off thread... Its great to have those 8 pilots back to our wholly owns!

Actually its a bit more due to attrition (2 left, +3 medicals) and the fact that scheduling has been sending CA/CA pairings from SBY and MDT to fly southern trips. Its also related to the fact that our Presidente "picked a number" (70) versus actually figuring out the real number they needed to let go. It has nothing to do with 'things to come' as you think.

You rarely offer anything constructive on any PDT thread, and I've told you that time and time again. Thats why I think you should 'go away'. You post on these threads exclusively for the reason of contradicting a PDT employee's point of view. Contradicting whenever you can serves no purpose other than to discourage pdt employees from discussing their opinions. That is all you do.

Phuz... You are not even worth a response... If you ever had an issue with something I post feel free to PM me.... I'd love to meet up on a CLT layover... Feel free to discuss things as a mature professional adult.... I'm always open for that..

My regional is better than PDT and PSA combined. Oh yeah....

I'd hope its not like that at all... :( Seeing that we both work for a wholly owned under USairways I just wish for the best for both of them. And thus happy to see fellow ALPA Brother and Sisters getting called back.... Its a positive and NOTHING less...

Good. Because with the way some of the threads are going around here and the anger towards people I'm seeing, it'd be nice to actually see some "brotherly love" that so many preach here, yet rarely seem to show.
