I didn't want to post this at the time but I know someone involved in the investigation and they aid Ben was carrying a gun at the time of the accident, the person made it sound like Ben was carrying it on his chest area. In addition, fuel starvation was/is suspected.

This info is several months old, I did not want to post it sooner. I am not trying to take anything away from this thread but just passing info on.

RIP Ben.

Of course he was carrying. Ben ALWAYS carried. Bro sent me a text one day just to tell me that he had two .40's on him.

I asked him why.

He asked me why not.

Just kinda how he was.

I miss him.

I carry just about all the time unless I'm out of town. So?

There's no, "so," Todd, and this is the wrong thread for it.

Ben carried everywhere he went, it's who he was. Sometimes he had two guns. Quite frankly I hope his wife found all the guns he had hidden around the house.

It's not a commentary on gun control, or concealed carry, or anything else. It's commentary on Ben, it's just part of who he was.

What does him carrying a gun have anything to do with this??? Perfectly legal...

I just read the prelim, what a shame. I'm glad we got them some money.

That was exactly my point. Tons of people in this country carry on a daily basis. The fact that he was carrying shouldn't be an issue, so I don't understand why someone brought it up.

I don't think PGT meant anything by it. Speaking as a member of the non-gun carrying public, it's just not something that many of us think about, so it's a little unusual to some. Not in the sense of "Wow, was he planning on shooting someone?", but rather because it's not a common thing for them to carry in their own day-to-day.
