Watch List for flying?

Since I am on the "Watch list" when i fly commercially, having to get my boarding pass at the desk in the airport etc... Would I have any issues in trying to get my Private or any other License?

Why are you on the watch list?
 
sorry to ask but , what "watch list " are you talking about ? is it the govt terror watch list ?
if its the case , you may have a problem getting a TSA clearance for your initial training . its none of my business but are you a US citizen?
 
If you are legitimately on the list, then I would hope so.

However my uncle is on the list because there is someone deserving of it on the list that apparently shares his name. It is a pretty big hassle for him as he is a frequent flier.

If this is your case then I assume you will have to jump through some hoops at the very least

i'd recommend he gets a Clear Pass , it is a 100 bucks a year and he can clear all the crap and fly hassle free .
 
First yes I am a US citizen, i was told by an airliner that i was just on "The list" for suspected terrorist and was also told that my name has been used thats why i was put on.
Im 16 and went to get my boarding pass online one day with some family and got an error called them and they told me everything i stated above.

this is serious stuff , have your parents contact the local FBI office , even if you have to change your name do it
you have to get out of that watch list if you want to become a pilot .
 
Seriously? That sounds kind of ridiculous to me. Can't they link someone's birthday or something to this "list?"
