Those darn Lubbock farmers who work for a living!

I'm always amazed at how the farmers can letter and message like that and make the script look very nice. That can't be easy to lay-out or accomplish. Unless aliens have done this. I hear aliens hate Obama, so it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Having lived there, doesn't surprise me one bit. Great college town that doubles as a great cult town too!

Was the #2 great place for a USAF pilot training base second only to Williams AFB in AZ. Reese AFB there closed in 1997.

Funny. My little brother goes to Texas Tech in Lubbock, I have only been there once when I was helping him move in but from what I observed then I am not too surprised.

This thread reminds me of a sign I saw at the Baylor vs Tech game at Jerryworld that said "If you can't get your grades up, get your guns up"

I kid, I kid, it's a good school.

Anyways, I wonder how long they'll keep it up I may be doing my CFI checkride at the Lubbock FSDO in the next month or so...

There is a round bale of hay near a gas station in Decatur TX that with a sign that reads "I've got my Obama bale out!". I didnt have my camera handy, so no pics of it. I thought it was pretty funny.

My kid sister is there right now too (I'm an alum - class of '02). That's pretty funny, though. As much as I love my school, we did have some genuine morons there.

I had a poli sci class my freshman year where the instructor gave out all of the test questions two days before class. If you went to the optional review a day before the test, you got all of the answers. Both questions and answers were in the same order as the exam - all you really had to do was read through the answers a few times.. Class average on the test? 68

I never really had anything like that at Baylor. The whole 2012 vision they had where they were striving to be a top tier university made sure that nothing was a blow off class. I had daily homework in my BOWLING CLASS.

The first question on my aviation history final was "Name every important name, date, weight, and horsepower in aviation history."

I left out my profs transatlantic flight on ethanol and he docked me 3 points. LOL

The nice thing about it was that by the time I was applying to grad schools, I had a 4.0 gpa which allowed me into my school of choice (excluding a couple ivy league schools). I'm not going to lie - my fellow classmates deserve some credit for that GPA :)

Every school has its "special" crowd. For all Baylor knew I could have been one of them, I was practically accepted even before I had submitted anything because I was a legacy.
