I've finally come to the decision that I will not continue to pursue a career in aviation.

Starting this spring I will begin a doctorate in physical therapy program. I will fly for recreation and that's it.

Good luck everyone, and thanks for your advice and posts which helped guide me!

Happy Holidays!

Peace!!!

YES, one less person fighting for position when I get to that point!

Absolute sarcasm...

Good luck on your future plans! There is a lot of money to be made in Physical Therapy

I don't blame you, I got furloughed and now I'm in law school.

Good luck with your endeavors. I wish I chose something other than Aviation Science as a degree.

Wow....it took only 10 posts!

Cool.

It is also funny that those who are saying they don't blame you one bit are the first to send their resumes to a regional who is willing to pay them minimum wage.

same here, except i'm working on a degree in economics

Lately I been thinking the same thing, while I would never leave flying. I'm thinking that being a part time flight instructor in both airplanes and gliders while owning my own plane would be far more fun than getting paid low wages to fly jets. Who knows though. Maybe things get better in the future. But right now I'm thinking that being a instructor when I can will make me more happy than trying to pay my bills flying for a living.

Good luck with your future.

The doctors that I fly with really have this flying thing figured out. They make enough to own there own plane and fly when and where they want, and boy do they have a blast doing it. They absolutely love flying!

Seems to me that the guys who said "don't blame you" have tried a career in aviation and decided it wasn't for them. I fail to see your point.
