I went to Europe with my parents when I was 17. On the way home, we sat... somewhere on the Rome airport grounds away from the gate for 8 hours in a 747 because the French Air Traffic Controllers were staging a work-slowdown in protest of smaller than promised pay raises.

With all those Italian ladies constantly using the lavs, the plumbing soon clogged up & some of the lavs overflowed. I lost count of how many times they showed Smokey and the Bandit, but to this day, I can't watch any part of that movie without getting nauseated
