Embry Riddle?

I am fully aware of what you were doing, thanks.

He is authority on a great many things, but he's proven over and over again he's clueless when it comes to anything at the regional level. He also enjoys, or can't stop himself from, being insulting.

It's tough to knock down interested observers when we get them, with their own brand X of wisdom, though they have been given the boot before.

He is the world's greatest airline pilot. Almost sounds like a FedEx guy I know of...

must be all that radioactive material they carry getting to their brains....

Didn't that Colgan group got bought out by someone? :) Some memphis group, I can't remember now. :)

Oh, hell. I KNOW they don't care. :) Although, we have a lot of UND-ers in MSP. I think that had more to do with the RJ course that was required in their curriculum than what school it is. That and they, like everyone else hired, have a pulse. :)

While I do agree with you Kell, I thought the posters were trying to infer that Riddle would actually hurt your career because of the "kind of people that go through" so I wanted to make it clear I didn't have any problems. If I inferred too much I apologize. Riddle has some great internship programs, I feel it does set them apart and that does make them better than the typical 4 year school without a flight program. Riddle vs UND or any number of colleges with a flight program I don't know if there is a difference.

Oh, yeah. I agree. ERAU/UND won't HURT your chances of getting a job, but I just don't think they'll necessarily land you that coveted flying job everyone else is applying for, too. I think it's gonna come down to how well people interview rather than where they went to school.

Really does that FMS well. Master at arranging the glare shields, and knows where to find the absolute cheapest meal that won't send you to the porcelain throne.

What defines a great airline pilot anyway? It's not like we're out there shooting down migs and bombing truck convoys.

You'd probably have to further break that down between greates mainline vs greatest regional airline pilot, as the all-around standards could conceivably be different. :)

Regional: Spikiest hair? Oakley blades perfectly mounted on the forehead? Snappiest backpack? Loudest iPod? :)

Major: Roundest belly? Blankest stare traipsing through the terminal? Most perfect match of khakis and running shoes at the Holiday Inn hotel bar? :)
