Here it is. Everything is cross-bidable except the 777's, the 747's. I think, not too sure so don't quote me.

The Hartsfield Massacre. I'm just hoping to hold plug on ATL Maddog.

BTW, I have a 24hr PHX layover that I White Slipped on the 19th. You in town?

On the DTW777A/B there are 58 vacancies each. Does the 777 operate with dual crews; i.e. 2 CA's and 2 FO's or is it like the 7ER with 1 CA and 2 FO's?

Hello 77 DTW base! And maybe I'm misssing it but no 330s? Or are there just no vacancies for them?

This is just a vacancy/surplus bid. The 330 probably just doesn't have any spots to bid for or surpluses at this time.

The Hartsfield Massacre.

Now that's funny! :laff:

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out!

The music's starting... hope you [generic "you", not aimed at anyone in particular] have a chair when it stops!

This is just the first initial joint bid, but there will be a lot of moving around of fleet types and bases for the next year or two. I'm hearing that they're most likely thinning out ATL to bring in the A320/319 and the A330's on a future bid.

It is not airplane specific but, flight time specific. Since all of the 777 time in NYC (soon to be DTW) is over twelve hours they go out with a crew of four.

BTW, much of the ER time is over twelve too so, there are plenty of flights with four.

Still doesn't change the fact that 99% of your flight to and from BOI-SLC are rj's!;) No soup for you!:D

True, but maybe the two MD-90s they run a day will be replaced with an A319/A320. Not that it is going to add anymore seats. We need the Airbus back on BOI-MSP. Hell, I remember flying Delta B727s between SLC-BOI and L-1011s between SLC-ATL and ATL-FRA/STR... how times have changed...

So are they hiring or just filling from other equip? I know it has been said hiring was going to begin but how many? Something tells me NOT 1000+...

There is 900 + 'surpluses' on the second page. Theres still 100 or so spots that seem to be reserved for people not currently employed by Delta.

Ahh... I never claimed to be smart enough to look on page 2 of a 2 page document. So maybe 100ish? That's the rumor that has been floating around anyway.

There are 98 vacant positions with about 150 on furlough/bypass. The math does not look good for hiring.

Here is the pretty darn accurate speculation. Originally, Network wanted a 7% increase in flying next year. However, FLT OPS said they needed to hire pilots to do that. Network started kicking and screaming so, they lowered it to 5.7% which is about break even for the bodies we have right now.

Hey then they can be just like pinnacle with 100 plus vacancies except that Delta doesn't suck so they might actually chose to fill them.
