Airline process doubt...

Need advice for this issue...pls... I currently hold a faa pvt cert, and comm. inst. multi. from Mexico dgac=faa, I'm still currently flying the 737 as a sic, i'll be 23 next year, and with the expectation to get the ATP........ but, my biggest concern is, coming along, ...hopefully there's some hiring in the coming years, I expect to apply, and get an interview anywhere (southernjets) :rawk:,........ well my fear is, if i could express it that way; is, if in the process the airlines make with applicants checking with the PRIA, and other aviation backgounds they could dissaprove, or take me as a disqualifier because i did not have faa comm. inst. multi. cert?, but, which on the other hand i would be coming with an atp and 737 cert......thanks.

I'm not clear, do you have the FAA certificates or the Mexican equivalents? If you have the Mexican ones, you'll have to get them converted to really be considered for a job here.

Fortunately I think it may be some time before another big hiring wave occurs.

It would not reflect poorly via a PRIA that you had Mexican certificates prior to getting the FAA ones. I don't see that being an issue.

If you get the opportunity to work as a Captain (once you have your ATP) even on smaller equipment (a SAAB or LEAR etc) I would do so. Also if you have not, consider that a university degree may be useful to have (in any subject).

Suerte con todo, si tenes otras preguntas este es un buen sitio con buena gente.

I think you larger concern may be the English language requirement. Is English a second language for you?

Being English proficient doesn't require the need for perfect grammar. He will be fine so long as this wasn't tossed in a translator.

As far as getting into an American airline you would need your certificates changed to FAA certificates. Make sure you have a degree that is accredited by a reputable source and also have some TPIC time for a major airline job.

Thanks Baronman...,actually i grew up speaking both languages so this is not a problem at all for me, the thing with my certification is that i dont have the faa comm. cert, and that i would be bypassing it going directly to the faa atp cert., with the mexico's comm cert, and when intending to apply for any job in the US, my concern is that they could take me as a disqulified applicant for not having had the faa comm cert....which i'm not sure at all....if that happens then i would take the comm. multi. checkride....what do you think, or know a company would say?, and i do have a degree thnx...

What does being 22 now and still flying a 737 have anything to do with your question? Who did you have to bribe there to get that job? :D

Thanks Buzo, I expect not to be an issue!!..........Socal, it's only as reference...to make my question, i think more complete;......haha funny question, actually no one, I went out there searching jobs, interviews, exams, and got it...:)
